The man of the series at India vs West Indies T20Is- Suryakumar Yadav - has been ruled out of the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka. The 31-year old batsman suffered a hairline fracture on his hand and has been declared unfit for the SL series, reported Cricbuzz.
It remains unclear as to when exactly did the Indian batsman suffer the injury, but it is being said that it happened while India was fielding during the third T20I against West Indies at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Suryakumar Yadav was spotted at a training session in Lucknow, but he won't be taking part in the 1st T20I.
This is a double blow for India as fast-bowling all-rounder Deepak Chahar also was ruled out of the T20I series due to injury. It looks like the BCCI is not keen on naming a replacement for both the players and in all likelihood, would go ahead with a 16-member squad without Yadav and Chahar.
"He (Chahar) has been ruled out of the series and will complete his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy," an official of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) told PTI.
The series begins on February 24, 2022, from Lucknow. The T20I series will be followed by a Test series.
