The battle between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore was a one-sided affair in the ongoing Women's Premier League. But the highlight of the match was Jemimah Rodrigues's entertaining avatar. She can do it all, be it dancing to Punjabi songs or bhangra, nothing is impossible for her.
Jemimah's family members also came to watch the match and one of her brothers started chanting "2 bottle pepsi, Jemimah is sexy" when the right-hand batter was distributing drinks to the fans. Delhi Capitals came up with a video where she was spotted having fun with the fans. “Stuff of pure gold from our very own Jem”, DC captioned.

Earlier, at the WPL auction, Delhi Capitals got Rodrigues after paying a whopping amount of INR 2.20. She also became the fifth most expensive purchase at the WPL Auction 2023. The 22-year-old Jemimah Rodrigues also played a few crucial knocks for her team in the recently passed Women's T20 World Cup.
Talking about the match, after batting first at the Brabourne Stadium, Meg Lanning (72 off 43) and Shafali Verma (84 off 45) starred with the bat for Delhi as both added 162 runs for the opening wicket. Jemimah also scored a quick-fire 22 off 15 deliveries. As a result, Delhi posted a massive total of 223 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
In reply to that, Bangalore started well as both the openers Sophie Devine and Smriti Mandhana added 41 runs off the first four overs before Alice Capsey scalped their wickets. After that, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. USA’s Tara Norris picked the first WPL five-wicket haul and restricted Bangalore to 163/8 in 20 overs.
