In the Super 8s, India lost to New Zealand by 10 runs but then defeated England and host South Africa by 18 and 37 runs. Meanwhile, Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 33 runs. Pakistan also defeated Australia and Bangladesh by four wickets.

The first semi-final was a tight contest between Pakistan and New Zealand, which Pakistan won by six wickets. India faced Australia in the second semi-final match and won.

In this match, India also set a new record when Yuvraj Singh managed to hit 6 sixes in a match against England.
Overall, the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup, is perhaps one of the country’s cricket fans favourite matches. M.S.
