Kolkata Knight Riders seamer Pat Cummins who happens to be the most expensive overseas cricketer in IPL 13 had a horrendous outing with the ball against Mumbai Indians on Wednesday as the Australian speedster conceded 49 runs in just 3 overs.

Cummins who was snapped up by KKR for Rs 15.5 crores in the 2020 IPL Auction last December was taken to the cleaners by the MI batsman ..However, as the famous saying in sports goes, the game is a great leveler of sorts and Cummins came back strongly with the bat to make up for his lackluster bowling performance, though his team lost the encounter by 49 runs to MI.

After Cummins bowled one of his most expensive spells in T20 cricket, he made some redemption of sorts with the willow in hand as he scored a fiery 12-ball 33 run cameo coming out to bat for KKR at the fag end of his innings.

The highlight of Cummins blazing power hitting was him tonking MI pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah for 26 runs in a single over which included four sixes.

It is a rare sight to see the usually economical Bumrah getting hit with such effortless ease as the MI seamer is dead accurate with his line and length towards the death overs. Cummins spoilt Bumrah's figures which after 3 overs read just 5 runs with two major scalps of Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell.

Cummins also attained a unique feat of sorts by becoming only the fourth batsman to hit Bumrah for four sixes in an IPL match..

Former South African all-rounder JP Duminy struck four sixes against Bumrah in 2015 and CSK's Windies all-rounded also smoked him for four maximums in the at Wankhede in the 2018 season of IPL
