Arsenal determined not to sell Sanchez to Man City

London [UK], June 15 (ANI): Arsenal are resolute not to sell star forward Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City this summer.

Arsenal host Leicester City on opening weekend of the Premier League season and it will only sell Sanchez abroad, meaning Bayern Munich remain his likeliest destination if he does not see out the last year of his contract at the north London club.

It is expected that City will bid 50 million pound for the 28-year-old whose current deal with Arsenal is set to end in 2018.

However, as per The Independent, Arsenal--- whose fundamental position is to persuade Sanchez to sign a new deal-- are however resolute they will not sell to a rival.

However, the Chilean's stay after the deal at the Emirates looks increasingly unlikely, especially after the club failed to qualify for the Champions League.

It is believed that Sanchez's first preference had been to remain in London because he loves the city so much but, despite Chelsea's strong interest, the Arsene Wenger-led side are just as reluctant to sell across the capital to Stamford Bridge as they are to City.

As per sources, Bayern Munich can be seen as a valiable option in the worst case scenario. (ANI)
