Afghanistan's star cricketer Rashid Khan became very emotional as he took to Twitter to remember his late parents. Past few years have been extremely difficult for the premier leggie, who tragically lost both his father and mother during the last two and a half years. Rashid's mother passed away in June this year after prolonged illness.
It was a big jolt for the premier spinner as his mother died less than two years after his father passed away in December 2018. At that time, Rashid Khan had gone to play in Australia's Big Bash League for the Adelaide Strikers. The next day after the death of his father, Rashid continued to play for his BBL team. It took some time for Rashid to return to the field after dealing with such tragedy.

"I truly never learned what the words I Miss You were until I reached for my Mom and Dad's hand and it wasn't there," Rashid wrote in an emotional post on twitter.
Star spinner Rashid Khan recently won the International Cricket Council (ICC) Award for the best T20 International cricketer of the decade. The 22-year-old leg-spinner has been the bowler to take the highest wickets (89) in T20 Internationals at an average of 12.62 in the last decade. During this time, Rashid took four or more wickets in an innings, three times and picked five or more wickets two times in an innings.
Rashid's best bowling performance is against Ireland in 2017, when he took 5 wickets for just 3 runs. At one time Ireland's score was 64 runs for loss of 2 wickets in 6 overs, but Rashid destroyed Ireland's batting order by taking 5 wickets within 10 balls.
