Many on social media sites said that the 22 year old women who was known for her pictures sporting tattoos, different hair colours and adventurous clothes, was a victim of her fame and targeted because of her lifestyle. (IMAGES its.tarafares)

Ahmad al-Basheer, an Iraqi satirist who lives in exile in Jordan wrote “Anyone who finds excuses for those who kill a girl just because she had decided to live like most other girls on the planet is an accomplice to her murder” (IMAGES its.tarafares)

On her Instagram page, a photo was posted with a caption which says "We ask Allah to forgive her and to grant her mercy with her." (IMAGES its.tarafares)
