To create a safe passage for the 41 workers trapped in the Uttarkashi tunnel, boring has been intensified and rescue workers are close to pull them out.

As per the latest update, 18 metres of drilling is still left before the augur machine can break through the rubble and an escape route for the labourers can be established. (Image Source: PTI)
