Kiwi bowling legend Tim Southee on Saturday impressed everyone by equalling two-time World Cup-winning skipper MS Dhoni's record.

On Day 2, Southee hammered a huge six off Stuart Broad's bowling to take his six-hitting tally in Tests to 78.

By hitting the 78th career of his Test career, Southee equalled the number of sixes hit by Dhoni in Test cricket.

The right-handed batter is just six sixes away from Windies legend Viv Richards' tally in Tests.

On Day 1 of 2nd Test, Southee also became the first New Zealand bowler to take 700 wickets in international cricket.
