Rob Nicol announces retirement from cricket

Nicol made his debut in 2010 during the ICC World T20 in the West Indies.

But, he came to Limelight when he became the only second Kiwi after Martin Guptill to smash an ODI hundred on debut.

He was solid all-rounder in the domestic circuit, scoring 6319 runs and clinching 43 wickets in 130 first-class matches.

New Zealand opening batsman Rob Nicol called time on his 17-year of domestic career including two Tests for the Black Caps.

The 35-year-old featured in 2 Tests, 22 ODIs and 21 T20Is for New Zealand.
