The Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh has been on the run for the past four days, and the Punjab Police today issued images of him in a number of possible looks, from hirsute to clean shaven, in the hopes that someone might be able to assist locate him.

Earlier in the day, the Punjab and Haryana High Court chastised the Punjab police, questioning how Amritpal Singh could repeatedly give them the slip.
On Saturday, Punjab launched a major search for Amritpal Singh, who has risen to prominence in recent months calling for the establishment of Khalistan, a separate Sikh homeland.
Last month, Amritpal Singh and his supporters stormed a police station armed with swords, knives, and guns after one of the preacher's aides was arrested for alleged assault and attempted kidnapping.
Several police officers were injured in the brazen daytime raid on Amritsar's outskirts, putting pressure on authorities to act.
According to official sources, Amritpal Singh has maintained close ties with the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and some terrorist groups based abroad, according to news agency PTI. The Khalistani leader is thought to be close to UK-based Khalistani terrorist Avtar Singh Khanda and to have played a role in his rise to prominence.
