ABP News-C Voter Survey

The first political survey of 2021 conducted by ABP News along with C-Voter has come showing how efficient, people think, the current Central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in dealing with situations such as Coronavirus pandemic, economic crisis and the ongoing farmers’ protest. More than 30 thousand people from all 543 Lok Sabha seats of the country participated in this survey. Answers to survey questions were taken in the last 12 weeks. In response, 66 per cent people said that they are happy with the work of the Central Government while 30 per cent people are unhappy. The rest four per cent people said that they cannot say anything in this regard.

Out of the 31 Chief Ministers of the country, who is the best and worst performing Chief Minister? As per the survey predictions, Odisha CM Naveen Pattnaik is the most popular CM in the country followed closely by Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi and Jagan Reddy in Andhra. On the other end of spectrum, the Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat is arguably the least popular CM in India followed closely by Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar and Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh with lowest satisfaction ratings.

How many people are satisfied with the work of Home Minister Amit Shah in the country. In response, 58 per cent people said that they are satisfied while 28 per cent people said that they are dissatisfied.

How happy are people in NDA-ruled states? In response to this question, people in different states gave different answers. In Assam, 43 per cent of the people were happy with the functioning of the Chief Minister, while 54 per cent preferred the Prime Minister, in Bihar 37 per cent favoured CM and 54 per cent Prime Minister, in Goa, 49 per cent CM and 80 per cent Prime Minister, in Gujarat, 47 per cent CM and 62 per cent Prime Minister.

If Lok Sabha elections are held today, then who is likely to win? In response, 58 per cent of the people supported the NDA while 28 per cent were seen with the UPA.

Who among Rahul Gandhi – Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, should become Congress President? In response to this question, 32 per cent people took the name of Rahul Gandhi, while 35 per cent preferred Priyanka Gandhi. The rest 33 per cent people said that they do not want to see any of the two as Congress president.

When asked about how satisfied they are with Rahul Gandhi, 39 per cent people said that they are happy while 44 per cent didn’t prefer him.

As many as 60 per cent respondents of the ABP mega survey said that Narendra Modi is their favourite choice for Prime Minister. Rahul Gandhi stands second with 26 per cent people choosing him as PM. 7 per cent people said none of the two should be the PM while 7 per cent said they can't say.

How satisfied are you with PM Modi’s work? As many as 71 per cent people are happy with PM Modi's work while 26 per cent feel unhappy with his work. 3 per cent respondents of ABP News survey said that they can't say anything about it.

Whom would you prefer as your PM? In response to this, PM Modi secured highest rating of 55 per cent, followed by former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi- 11 per cent, Mamata- per cent, Kejriwal- 5 per cent, Mayawati- 1 per cent, Priyanka- 1 per cent, Others- 12 per cent, Can't say- 14 per cent.

How many people are happy with central government’s work during the Covid-19 Lockdown? In response to this, 78 per cent respondents showed thumbs up for the government’s work during the lockdown 1, 82 per cent during lockdown 2, 82 per cent in lockdown 3 and 82 per cent in Lockdown 4.

Was the situation around Corona exaggerated? In response to this, 53 per cent people said yes while 34 percent people said no.

When people were asked, how is the government dealing with the production of vaccines, more than half the population appreciated the centre while 32 per cent didn’t like centre’s work in terms of vaccines.

Will the farmers’ protest harm the ruling government? In response to this question, 52 percent people believed that the government would be harmed by the farmers movement. While 34 per cent do not believe so and 14 per cent said that they do not know.
