WATCH | Emotional Kartarpur Reunion Of Two Brothers Separated During Partition Will Melt Your Heart

At the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib at Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan witnessed an emotional reunion of two long-lost brothers.

New Delhi: India-Pakistan partition in 1947 keeps unfolding untold tales. While some may not be so happy but there are certain stories that will warm your heart. In one of such incidents which came to light via social media, two brothers separated by partition unify after 74 years.

At the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib at Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan witnessed an emotional reunion of two long-lost brothers. The two brothers who met at Kartarpur Sahib are Muhammad Habib from India and Muhammad Siddique of Faislabad in Pakistan, separated during the India Pakistan partition in 1947.

It is being reported that with the help of social media Habib's family located his elderly brother and planned a get-together at Kartarpur Corridor when it opened for Indian pilgrims.

Videos surfaced on social media of the two brothers crying in one another’s arms with a crowd watching the emotional reunion. "Mil ta gaye...(We finally meet)," cried out aloud in Punjabi one of the brothers while hugging each other.

Despite India-Pakistan's continued diplomatic see-saw relation, as a goodwill gesture, Kartarpur Corridor in Pakistan has been opened by the Imran Khan government.

Kartarpur Corridor facility is a visa-free journey from India to Pakistan usually opened for Sikh Pilgrims to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib. It is about five kilometers from the international border and became operational in November 2019.
