New Delhi: A man is building a temple in memory of his mother in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam, who passed away a few years ago. Sravan Kumar started the construction of the temple in 2019. He has decided to install a sculpture of his late mother made of a single stone within the temple. 


Kumar hired workers from Bihar to finish the construction of the temple, which was his wish for his mother. He said that the idol of his mother would be 6 ft tall. 


Speaking to ANI on Thursday, Sravan Kumar said, "I loved my mother but lost her a few years ago. I wanted to build a temple in memory of her and hired workers from Bihar. Work started in 2019. My mother's Idol will be six feet and sculptured with a single stone."






One of the workers told ANI, that it would take two more years to finish the temple. 


"It's been four months since I have been working here. I have a work of sculpture. I have been assigned to complete it within two years. our team of workers is working with full force. It might take more than two years to complete, but it is our effort to complete it within the deadline," he said.

In September a Madurai man, Ramesh Babu built a temple in honour of his parents. The retired SI told ANI, that he had wanted to build a temple earlier but work had kept him busy from achieving that goal, so he constructed it after his retirement. 




"I wanted to build a temple for them but work kept me busy. So I built it after retirement & worship them every day. My parents died after I built this temple, but they're with me".
