MP: Meet Ankita Nagar, Daughter Of Vegetable Seller Who Became A Civil Judge In Indore

Indore: In a rare feat, a 29-year-old daughter of a vegetable vendor from Madhya Pradesh's Indore her own share of struggles in life, has become a civil judge after she cleared the recruitment examination in her fourth attempt. According to reports, Ankita Nagar has been selected for the post of Behavioral Judge (Civil Judge) Class-II. Ankita's father Ashok Nagar is a vegetable vendor in Musakhedi area of Indore.

Speaking to PTI on Thursday, Ankita said that even after failing to clear the recruitment examination thrice, she did not deviate from her goal of becoming a judge. "I have cleared the civil judge Class-II examination in my fourth attempt. I don't have words to express my happiness," she said.

"Despite three unsuccessful attempts, I did not give up and remained focused on achieving my goal. This struggle opened doors for me and I kept moving forward," Ankita said.

While speaking to the news agency, Ankita also said that she used to help her father in his work after completing her exam preparations.

"I wanted to become a doctor but its studies cost much more so I began to prepare for civil judge examinations instead. I did most of my studies on a government scholarship," Ankita told news agency ANI.

Delighted with the phenomenal success of his child, Ankita's father said that his daughter has set an example by not losing courage despite having to face a very hard struggle in life.

He said that he along with his wife compromised alot the past six years for her education and Ankita studied without any privilege and cleared the exam. "We are proud of her. No one should force their daughters to marry but rather get them educated," Ankita's parents said.

An LLM master degree holder, Ankita wanted to study law since childhood and while pursuing her bachelor's degree in law, she had decided to become a judge. After commencing her stint as a civil judge, Ankita said she will focus on ensuring justice to anyone comes to her court.
