Like most desi people who want to buy things at a good bargain, Bothra bought the peas at ₹ 40 per kilogram

New Delhi: Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Arun Bothra, who is known for his witty tweets while cracking down on violators, has left the netizens in splits with his recent tweet.

Bothra, who is the Transport Commissioner of Odisha, posted a picture of a suitcase filled with green peas. Revealing that the picture was taken at Jaipur airport, he said that the security officials asked him to open his hand baggage for further inspection, possibly after scanners picked up something unusual inside the bag.

Like most desi people who want to buy things at a good bargain, Bothra bought the peas at ₹ 40 per kilogram, the IPS officer said.

Taking to his Twitter handle, he shared the picture with the caption reading, “Security staff at Jaipur airport asked to open my handbag.”

Although it is not clear whether his post was intended to evoke laughter, it has definitely left the netizens in stitches, with users reacting to his post with memes and witty puns.

Even several IAS and IFS officers joined the meme fest in pulling Bothra’s leg. Here are some of the witty and funny reactions to his Twitter post.
