New Delhi: After Tesla chief Elon Musk announced the final deal to takeover Twitter for $44 billion on Monday, the social media platform was flooded with tweets about users wanting to leave the site due to which #LeavingTwitter began to trend on the list.
Hollywood actress Jameela Jamil became the first celebrity to quit Twitter soon after Musk took over the platform as its sole owner. Jameela took to Twitter and shared two tweets announcing quitting the social media platform.

Twitter's Chief Executive Parag Agrawal on Monday told employees that the future of the social media firm is uncertain after the deal to be taken private under Tesla chief closes. Agrawal, who was talking at company-wide town hall meeting, was taking questions regarding Musk's plans for the company, the possibility of layoffs and the board's rationale for the deal, according to Reuters. However, he dodged several questions that were directed towards Musk.
Musk reiterated his stance on several occasions that Twitter should be a platform for free speech.
