'Not Sure What This Tweet Is Supposed To Mean': Dictionary.com Just Trolled A US Lawmaker

American lawmaker Clay Higgins, a Republican, took to Twitter to post a message in which he asked millennials, as he asked them to “reflect upon your woke sky”.

New Delhi: On Sunday, American lawmaker Clay Higgins took to Twitter to post a message that appeared to cricitise millennials, as he asked them to “reflect upon your woke sky”.

“You millennial leftists who never lived one day under nuclear threat can now reflect upon your woke sky,” Republican lawmaker Clay Higgins tweeted, adding: “You made quite a non-binary fuss to save the world from intercontinental ballistic tweets.”

The tweet generated a lot of response. It had over 13,000 shares and nearly 4,000 likes at the time of writing this report.

There were nearly 31,000 comments also, with some users responding to the tweet with their own take on the issue, some questioning him and some simply trying to decipher what Higgins was trying to say.

Among the latter was the official Twitter account for Dictionary.com, which said it wasn't sure if it understood Higgins's tweet.

“We’re not entirely sure what this tweet is supposed to mean, and we’re literally the dictionary,” Dictionary.com tweeted.

The post went viral in no time. It currently has over 2.35 lakh likes and more than 33,000 shares.

Many other verified handles also mocked the lawmaker.

Sharing the tweet, Republican Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said: “I’ve sat on a committee with this guy for years. He talks like this every day.”
