Brazilian Woman Falls In Love With Man Who Stole Her Mobile Phone

"When I saw her photo on the phone, I said to myself ‘What a beautiful brunette, you don’t see a brunette like that every day,’ and I regretted stealing it," said the man.

A bizarre love story of a Brazilian woman falling in love with a man who robbed her has gone viral on the internet. The couple shared their story on the microblogging site Twitter by posting a video of themselves giving an interview, which has so far amassed 2,35000 views and tons of likes.

“I was walking down the street where he lives and unfortunately, I was mugged,” the woman, identified as Emanuela, told reporters while recounting their “first date” at a media event in Brazil, reported the New York Post. While the thief, who is now her husband confessed that his feelings changed for the woman after he saw her photo on her phone. 

He then contacted her using the details he found on the phone.

"I was going through a difficult situation because I didn’t have a woman, you know?” the robber, who has not been named told the media outlet. "When I saw her photo on the phone, I said to myself ‘What a beautiful brunette, you don’t see a brunette like that every day,’ and I regretted stealing it," he further said.

According to the media outlet, the two have been dating for two years, but it is yet unclear how the parents of the girl feel to have  a former robber as their child’s romantic partner.

The story has left Twitter users stunned, with thousands sharing their views on the bizarre love story. Many pointed out that such love stories can only originate from the land of romance and passion, Brazil. While there were some who said that love can blossom anywhere and in any circumstance
