Bored Of Working From Home? UK Bars Offer 'Work From Pub' Option With Attractive Offers

Fuller's, a brewery chain in the UK is offering a lunch and a drink from just £10 (Rs 900) a day at its 380 pubs

After Covid-19 hit the world, people were forced to make several changes in their day-to-day life. One such change was the concept of Work From Home (WFH) that found huge favour with offices and employees. But this may sound boring to many now. Well, here's another option Work From Pub (WFP) that is fast gaining popularity in the UK.

Several pubs across the country have launched 'work and play' packages.

Fuller's, a brewery chain in the UK is offering a lunch and a drink from just £10 (Rs 900) a day at its 380 pubs. The WFP package also includes non-alcoholic beverages, reported the Mint.

While another popular brewery chain, Young, is providing unlimited tea and coffee along with lunch for £15 ( ₹1,400) per day across all the 185 pubs it owns.

According to the Mint website, several independent pubs are also offering similar packages as they struggle with the combined impacts of the pandemic, the energy crisis and the cost of living.

For instance, Flintgate, located in the Weybridge, a suburb of London is offering "work and play" package for £15 ( ₹1,400) that includes a use of power points, quiet stations lunch, unlimited tea and coffee, reported the Mint. It even gives a pint of beer or a gin and tonic (G&T) at 5 pm.

The WFP option gives people a community-based working environment that includes power sockets, quiet areas and the option of gin and tonic or pint at the end of your shift.

Though the scheme was launched in 2020 it has gained popularity more recently. But how much is it going to help the industry amid growing energy costs, food and drink prices and personnel costs is yet to be seen.

Several pubs in the UK are already struggling to meet ends as suppliers have withdrawn the long-term fixed-price energy contracts that they depend upon.
