WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom In Quarantine After Contact Tests Positive For Coronavirus

World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has said that he had been identified as a contact of someone who tested positive for Covid-19, but added that he was feeling well and did not have any symptoms.

With pandemic affecting each and everyone in the country, now it is the World Health Organisation director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has self-quarantined after someone he had been in contact with tested positive for coronavirus. "I am well and without symptoms but will self-quarantine over the coming days, in line with @WHO protocols, and work from home," he added. Globally there are 46,804,614 Covid-19 cases and the death toll stands at 1,205,044 and WHO chief Tedros has been at the forefront of the United Nations health agency's efforts to battle the pandemic. The WHO chief stressed that "it is critically important that we all comply with health guidance." "This is how we will break chains of #COVID19 transmission, suppress the virus, and protect health systems." Tedros further said that his WHO colleagues and he will continue to engage with partners in solidarity to save lives and protect the vulnerable together.
