New Delhi: A nine-year-old Chinese girl is making news for having an unusual pet friend. The girl names Sun Xiaojing has befriended a tiger cub and what is more shocking is that she not only plays with the tiger but also bathes it and feeds bottled milk to it. The girl came in news after a video of her taking the tiger cub for a stroll was shared and circulated on the internet.

As per reports carried by Chinese media, the girl is a zookeeper’s daughter and she started playing around with a tiger cub after it was born three months ago.

The father of the girl works at Donghu Zoo in Fujian province.  He told Quanzhou Evening Post that the tiger cub has been named as Huniu by the girl. Huniu translates to ‘tiger girl’ in Chinese.  He informed the newspaper that his daughter’s friends find the pet scary, but it is considered a friend.  He said that the tiger cub is really playful and runs to the girl the moment she comes back from school.
