'Vande Mataram', 'Jai Shri Ram' Slogans Echo In Kobe After Modi Addresses Indian Diaspora; Watch Video
While addressing the Indian community Modi said India is also planning to explore the space and noted that the second mission to Moon, Chandrayan-II will be launched soon.

New Delhi: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his address to the India diaspora in the Japanese city of Kobe, the jam-packed Hyogo Prefecture Guest House echoed with the chants of "Vande Mataram" and "Jai Shri Ram".
The PM on Thursday spoke on diverse topics including India-Japan ties and technological advancement of the country, while addressing the India community in Japan.
“I'm fortunate to be here once again after 7 months. It's a coincidence that last time I was here, election results were out here and you had shown trust in my dear friend Shinzo Abe. Today when I'm here, largest democracy has shown even greater trust in this Pradhan Sevak,” Modi said.
Speaking of his electoral victory in Lok Sabha polls, Modi said 130 Crore Indians formed an even stronger government. He underlined that after three decades, for the first time, a government with clear majority formed was formed for the second time in a row.
Asserting that India will be made even stronger, he said “We are going ahead with the mantra of sabka saath, sabka vikas and sabka vishwas.” In the next five years, we have the target of making India a 5 trillion dollar economy," the Prime Minister said, adding the government has to work to meet the rising aspirations of the Indians. "Social sector is our priority. We also have to cater to infrastructure development," he added. Speaking on India-Japan ties, Modi said: “When it comes to India's relations with the world, Japan holds an important position. These relations are not from today but dates back to centuries. It has harmony and respect for each other's culture in its foundation”. He also acknowledge the contribution of leaders like Swami Vivekananda, Rabindranath Tagore, Mahatma Gandhi, Neta ji Subhash Chandra Bose, Justice Radhabinod Pal and others who strengthened India's relationship with Japan. “It was because of their contribution that after the World War-2, India and Japan's relationship grew all the more strong”, he said Talking about his relations with Japanese PM Shinzo Abe, Modi said: “after I became PM in 2014 I got an opportunity to strengthen India-Japan friendship, together with my friend PM Shinzo Abe. We took our diplomatic relations beyond the purview of capitals and ambassadors, and took them directly among public.” About the digital sector, he said the literacy in digital area is growing fast in India and transactions have jumped manifold. He said India is also planning to explore the space and noted that the second mission to Moon, Chandrayan-II will be launched soon. By 2022, India will also launch its first manned mission 'Gaganyaan', Modi said.
