New Delhi: The Taliban brutally killed a child in Takhar province of Afghanistan on the basis of suspicion that his father was a part of the Afghan resistance forces, reported by Panjshir Observer. The execution of a child is one of the latest incidents that has happened under the Taliban controlled Afghanistan. Taliban took over Afghanistan on August 15, 2021, with a statement that there will be no revenge killings. However, the situation in Panjshir casts a light on how the Taliban is brutally killing people to seek revenge. Earlier last week, ABC, the US broadcast television network reported that there is a manhunt for the members belonging to the resistance forces and former government as a part of revenge killings across the nation. "Five times they attacked my family," one young man from Panjshir was quoted by ABC in its report.
One young man informed the ABC news that he saw three women dead at a gate on the province boundary.
As per the ANI report, the Taliban is trying to portray a moderate image of its government to the world in order to garner international supports. However, experts observed that the scenes at the Kabul airport was an evidence that the terrorist group has returned to the mainstream with a repressive and aggressive mindset.
