NEW DELHI: A stunning footage has emerged from Bristol Airport in the UK showing a passenger aircraft forced to land sideways by gusty crosswinds blowing at the speed of over 70 km per hour. The video, uploaded by a YouTuber, shows how a daring pilot managed an expert landing on the Bristol runway while defying the crosswinds that try and push it off track, during Storm Callum.

The clip shows the aircraft coming in to the runway at Bristol airport at a sharp angle. This dramatic video of the TUI plane has gone viral on the internet.

"Strong winds blowing directly across the runway at Bristol Airport on the 12th October 2018 due to Storm Callum caused this TUI Airways Boeing 757-200 aircraft to come in nearly sideways," avid plane spotter and YouTuber ‘Mraviantionguy’ said.

"Aircraft need to compensate for the crosswind otherwise they will be blown off course, they do this by pointing their nose into the direction the wind is coming from, demonstrated perfectly by this crew," he added while referring to the Boeing 757-200 aircraft landing.
