Pakistan: Imran Khan going from country to country to "beg" for funds, says Sindh CM
Shah, who is a senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party, was addressing a rally on Sunday where he launched an attack on Khan.
New Delhi: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah targeted Pakistan PM Imran Khan and said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan is going around the world to beg for a bailout from an impending financial crisis.
Shah, who is a senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party, was addressing a rally on Sunday where he launched an attack on Khan.
“Imran Khan is going from country to country to beg (for financial aid),” Shah was quoted as saying by Samaa TV. He made the remark at a rally in Matli, Sindh province. He also accused Khan of giving government posts to those who have no experience in politics.
UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan came to Pakistan on Sunday on a two-day visit. He is likely to announce a bailout package worth $6.2 billion to help the country in tackling its balance-of-payments crisis, Dawn reported.
Pakistan on Sunday said the UAE has "almost finalised" investment plan for the setting up of an oil refinery in the country as the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi met Prime Minister Imran Khan and discussed economic assistance to the cash-strapped country to bolster its foreign exchange reserves.
Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, who was on a day-long visit to the country after nearly 12 years, was received by Khan upon his arrival at Nur Khan airbase in Rawalpindi and the Prime Minister personally drove him to his residency for a welcome ceremony.
