United Kingdom Home Secretary Suella Braverman said that the migrants coming illegally into the UK are breaking laws and are “criminals” referring to people crossing the Channel. In an interview with Sky News, Braverman said the “unprecedented and uncontrolled levels of immigration into the UK are unsustainable or unacceptable.”
"People coming here illegally are breaking our laws. They are criminals and they don't have a right to be here," she added.
The Home Secretary said that there are laws and safe routes of entry into the United Kingdom adding people should apply for permission as "that is the way people should apply to come to the United Kingdom, not on a boat dangerously and fatally.”

Last month, Sunak and Braverman were met with protest when they visited Essex town centre. The leaders were told to "go away" during a walkabout in an Essex town centre.
The incident took place when they were walking down Chelmsford high street with three police officers ahead of the launch of an anti-social behaviour drive.
