The infuriated conservatives have slammed the giant search engine saying that the remarks illustrate its political bias and regulators should take a close look at the company.
The hour-long recording was published by Breitbart which shows the executives consoling their employees over Trump’s victory.
The chief executive of Google Sundar Pichai, the president of Google parent Alphabet Sergey Brin can be seen addressing staff at a private meeting, after the 2016 election. Pichai said the outcome of the election caused a lot of fear within Google.
The executives consoled employees especially immigrants, given Trump’s pledge before Election Day to toughen security at border. The leaders of the search engine appeared to encourage the employees to be understanding of ‘all sides of the political spectrum’.
However, the conservatives quickly held on to the video, saying it is an evidence of the political bias prevailing inside Google and that it is trying to weaken Trump.
The video has been released weeks after Trump had accused Google of being biased against him and showing only negative news about him.
He accused the giant search engine platform for showing negative results about him. Warning the search engine, Trump had said that it is a very serious situation and it will be addressed. Expressing his annoyance over the critical news stories about his presidency, Trump had lashed out on Twitter saying: “They have it rigged, for me and others, so that almost all stories & news is bad.” He wrote: “96% of Google search results for “Trump News” shows only the viewing, reporting of Fake News Media.”
