Israel's Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical service said that several people had been wounded in Tira mostly by shrapnel and glass shards in a direct strike on a building.
At least 19 people were injured after a missile strike in an Israeli town, Tira, early Saturday. The army reported that three projectiles were fired from Lebanon into central Israel.
According to the AFP, of the 19 individuals, four were said to be “in moderate condition”, and they were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Earlier, Israel's Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical service said that several people had been wounded in Tira mostly by shrapnel and glass shards in a direct strike on a building.
Soon after, Lebanon’s Iran-backed Hezbollah group claimed responsibility and said that it had used missiles and explosive drones to target military and intelligence facilities in northern and central Israel. It said that it fired toward the Israeli military’s Unit 8200 base in Glilot, on the edge of Tel Aviv, and said that it fired rockets toward military facilities in Zvulun. Hezbollah also said it had targeted central Israel’s Palmachim Air Base with explosive drones, saying they “scored precise hits on targets,” according to the Associated Press.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry posted videos on social media, that showed fire and smoke spilling from a building into the street before the emergency responders gathered at the scene. Meanwhile, the Israeli army said on Telegram that it had intercepted some of the three projectiles fired from Lebanon. Several other visuals shared on social media showed significant damage to the roof and top floor of the three-story building and the cars below.
"This is the result of a direct hit of a Hezbollah rocket on a building in the Israeli Arab town of Tira, injuring 19 civilians," the ministry said in the post. "We cannot and will not rest until Hezbollah is dismantled," it added.

Even with significantly degraded capabilities, Hezbollah can still cause harm.
This only strengthens our resolve!

The war raging in the Gaza Strip has spread to Lebanon, where Israel has been carrying out air strikes against Hezbollah, an ally of the Palestinian group Hamas. Fighting between Israeli forces and Hezbollah has escalated since September, dimming hopes for a US-led ceasefire initiative have faded.
Tira is a predominantly Arab town, located around 25 kilometres northeast of Tel Aviv, near the border with the occupied West Bank.
Hezbollah said the Saturday dawn missile attack directed at Glilot was in retaliation for the “massacres” that are being committed by Israel. Tira is about 20 kilometres from Glilot.
Tamar Abdel Hai, a resident of Tira, said that the attack was frightening. “I call upon all the leaders in the Arab world and the leaders in Israel and to everyone who can help to end this war. It’s enough,” he said, according to AP news.
Citing Israeli data, at least 63 people were killed on the Israeli side since cross-border exchanges with Hezbollah erupted.
