FIR Against Organisers Of 2021 Aurat March In Islamabad For Display Of Un-Islamic & Obscene Posters
An FIR is to be registered against organisers of the 2021 Aurat March in Islamabad for allegedly making “derogatory remarks” against the Prophet Muhammad and his wife Hazrat Aisha besides displaying “obscene posters”.
A court in Pakistan has ordered FIR to be registered against organisers of the 2021 Aurat March in Islamabad for allegedly making “derogatory remarks” against the Prophet Muhammad and his wife Hazrat Aisha besides displaying “obscene posters”.
Judge Syed Shaukatullah Shah of the local court in Peshawar passed the order on Thursday on a petition filed by five lawyers.

The lawyers in their petition alleged that “derogatory remarks were used in respect of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and Bibi Aisha beside the display of un-Islamic and obscene posters on the instructions of organisers which hurt the feelings and sentiments of all Muslims” during the Aurat March on March 8, Dawn reported.
The lawyers, who filed the petition under Section 22-A of the Code of Criminal Procedure, informed the court that they had also filed an application with the SHO East Cantt. They, however, added that the SHO was “reluctant” to register an FIR on their complaint.
The SHO East Cantt was directed to “register FIR of the occurrence as reported by the petitioners under the relevant law”.
The controversy surrounds a video widely shared online regarding the demonstration in Karachi which showed the participants raising blasphemous slogans. The organisers, however, clarified the participants of the march did not raise such slogans, adding the video was edited to defame their struggle.
