New Delhi: Several gruesome videos and photos have emerged following a shooting incident at a subway station in Brooklyn, New York, that left more than 10 people injured.
Among the several videos on social media, one shows the moment when the attack happened as a train entered the station. Following gunshot sounds, several people are seen running out of a metro coach as a thick smoke billows out of it.
The fire department said 13 people were injured, several by gunfire. US media reports said the suspect likely used a smoke bomb to distract the commuters before shooting them.
Another video shows smoke and panic-striken people pouring out of a subway car. Passengers can be seen running for an exit as a few others limp off the train even as one falls on the platform.
A photo from the scene showed people tending to passengers covered in blood lying on the floor of the station. Eyewitnesses said some of the wounded jumped on another train to flee to the next station.
