US Plane Crash News: US President Donald Trump has blamed the Air Traffic Control Tower at the Reagan National Airport in Washington DC for the American Airlines plane crash. He alleged that the ATC did not inform the US Army's Black Hawk chopper of the flight's approach path.

What's even more shocking is that the ATC was aware of the American Airlines plane's approach but merely asked the chopper pilot if he could see the aircraft. The ATC allegedly failed to guide the chopper out of the passenger plane's way, according to Trump.

Taking to his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump said: "The airplane was on a perfect and routine line of approach to the airport. The helicopter was going straight at the airplane for an extended period of time. It is a CLEAR NIGHT, the lights on the plane were blazing, why didn’t the helicopter go up or down, or turn. Why didn’t the control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of asking if they saw the plane. This is a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented. NOT GOOD!!! [sic]"

So far, 19 people have been confirmed dead in US media reports, but the situation looks grim as no survivor has been located yet. Rescuers are fearful of this becoming the worst air crash in DC, since the 1982 Air Florida Flight disaster.

As per rescuers on the site, the plane was split into two and the debris lay in pieces.
