After Bhutto's Remarks On PM Modi, Pak Minister Shazia Marri Threatens India With 'Nuclear War': Report

Shazia threatened India, saying that if the Modi government fights, he will receive his answer. Pakistan's status as a nuclear state has not been given to remain silent, as per media reports.

A day after India chastised Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for his "uncivilized outburst" at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader and Pakistan's minister for poverty alleviation and social safety, Shazia Marri, threatened India with nuclear war, news agency ANI reported on Saturday quoting some media reports.

She stated during a press conference with Bol News, "India must not forget that Pakistan possesses an atomic bomb. Our nuclear status is not supposed to be kept quiet. If the situation arises, we will not back down".

She was giving a press conference in favour of Bilawal Bhutto, during which she spewed vitriol toward India.

Shazia threatened India, saying that if the Modi government fights, he will receive his answer. Pakistan's status as a nuclear state has not been given to remain silent.

Pakistan understands how to respond as well. "If you keep bringing claims against Pakistan again and over again, Pakistan would not be able to listen silently," she added, according to ANI.

Shazia's remarks come at a time when Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto is under fire in India for launching a personal assault on Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as criticising the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

Bilawal Bhutto claimed during a press conference on the sidelines of the United Nations Security Council session in America that the Indian government was influenced by Hitler rather than Mahatma Gandhi.

In response to media inquiries over Bilawal's "uncivilised" remarks, Arindam Bagchi, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, stated, "These remarks are unprecedented, even in Pakistan. The wrath of Pakistan's foreign minister would be better directed at the masterminds of terrorist operations in his own country, who have made terrorism a part of their official policy. Pakistan must change its thinking or risk remaining a pariah state."
