Will Hold Andhra Pradesh Govt Responsible For Even One Fatality: Supreme Court On State Conducting Class 12 Exams

Accroding to reports of the state governemnt, about 5 lakh student to appear in Class 12 exam. 

New Delhi:  Showing its stiff side on the decision of allowing Class 12 exams in the state, Supreme Court asked Andhara Pradesh Government to inform it on June 24 its final decision on conducting Class 12 exams of the state board.

Supreme Court also said that it will hold the state responsible for even one fatality if occurs follwing the its decision of holding Class 12 exams in the state.

Advocate Mahfooz Nazki informed a bench comprising Justices AM Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari that the state wants to go ahead with the physical exams for Class 12. He further said that the final decision has been deferred till July 1.

"What if you are unable to conduct exams in July? Why not take that decision now like other states."

"If there is even one fatality, we will hold the state responsible... You cannot keep everything uncertain," the judges said as quoted by India Today.

According to reports of the state government, about 5 lakh student to appear in Class 12 exam.
