WATCH: Miss Africa's hair catches fire on stage during announcement of winner

New Delhi: In an out and out uncanny incident, hair of the winner of Miss Africa beauty pageant caught fire right after her name was announced and while she savoring the initial seconds of her victory on the stage. Miss Congo Dorcas Kasinde who emerged as the winner of Miss Africa 2018 pageant recently, was hugging her fellow contestant on hearing her name as the winner, When her hair caught fire. The accident took place due to abundant fireworks that kicked off near the stage upon the declaration of the winner. Kasinde who was too overwhelmed at that moment did not realize for a few seconds that her locks were on fire. It was only when the fire grew bigger that she, to her horror, realised it. Luckily, before she was injured , a man jumped in behind her and doused the  flames. The video was shared by Africa Facts Zone on Twitter:

She later thanked her fans their support and said that she was fine after the accident.
