Sulli Deals Case: Bail Petition Of Accused Aumkareshwar Thakur Dismissed By Delhi Court

New Delhi: A Delhi court rejected the bail petition of the creator of the ‘Sulli Deals’ app, Aumkareshwar Thakur, on Sunday.
The bail plea was dismissed by Metropolitan Magistrate Vasundhra Chhaunkar, according to a report by news agency ANI.
While hearing the plea, the court noted that the accused has been arrested after a long and time-consuming method following the MLAT process and that the probe in the case is still at an initial stage.
“The accused had consciously used Top Browser to disclose his identity and various complaints have been received against the ‘Sulli Deals’ app across the country. The investigation is at a nascent stage where crucial evidence and further chain of events are yet to be unearthed,” the Court said while dismissing the bail petition of Thakur, as reported by ANI.
The mastermind behind the Sulli Deals app was arrested the IFSO team of the Special Cell of Delhi Police from Indore last week after the police received an information about him from the mastermind behind the Bulli Bai app, Neeraj Bishnoi, during probe.
The Sulli Deals app was formed in July 2021 on the GitHub platform in a bid to auction Muslim women and the matter came to light when the Delhi Police, taking suo motu cognizance of it, started investigating the case. However, the first case in the case was made only after the accused behind the Bulli Bai app case, Neeraj Bishnoi, was arrested from Jorhat in Assam.
During investigation, Bishnoi confessed to be have been in touch with the creator of the Sulli Deals app, Aumkareshwar Thakur, over virtual chatting platforms.
