Southern States Have Potential Of Boosting Indian Economy To $1.5 Trillion: Vice President Venkaiah Naidu
Vice President Venkaiah Naidu was virtually addressing 'Mystic South – Global Linkages Summit’ organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)
New Delhi: In a view to boost the southern states' as the markets are slowly opening up after more than a year of shutting down, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu said on Thursday that southern states have it all to take India to a $1.5 trillion economy by 2025. He was virtually addressing 'Mystic South – Global Linkages Summit’ organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
Taking to Twitter, he said: "South India has all it takes to become a $1.5 Trillion Economy by 2025. The region is a classic example of ‘Unity in Diversity’, and combines manufacturing with services, culture with modern values and education with skills."

With Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh standing atop in ease of doing business ranking, the Vice President while boasting the new opportunities in South India said, "Entrepreneurship has always been a strong point for Southern success. Start-ups have also started flourishing in smaller cities of the region. I am pleased to know that the Southern States are amongst the top in the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ rankings in India."
