Khargone Clashes: First Death Due To Violence confirmed Week After Incident

New Delhi: The first death has been confirmed in the violence that took place on the day of Ram Navami in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh. Ibresh Khan, who was missing since April 10, died during treatment at a hospital in Indore.
He had gone out of his house to offer Namaz and Iftar for Rojedars at Anand Nagar Masjid, who did not return home. The family members kept searching for him for 4 days, but they did not get success. The family members again lodged a missing report in the police station on the 14th April.
"An unidentified body was found in the night of communal violence in the Anand Nagar area of Khargone," In-charge Superintendent of Police (SP) Rohit Kashwani told reporters.
He expressed since there was no freezer facility accessible in Khargone, the body was kept at the Indore government medical hospital after a postmortem. Kashwani said the relatives of Ibresh enlisted a missing person complaint on April 14.

Kashwani said that Ibresh Khan died due to serious injuries to his head caused by stones. Nonetheless, a kin of Ibresh Khan, an inhabitant of the Islampura region, alleged a cover-up by the police.
At the same time, Ibresh's brother Ikhlaq Khan has made very serious allegations against the police.
Ikhlaq Khan, brother of Ibris Khan told reporters, "The people in Anand Nagar attacked my brother with weapons and crushed his head with a stone."
"A policeman came to me on Sunday night and told me that Ibresh's body is kept in Indore," he said.
Ikhlaq also alleged that his brother's body was brutally attacked. "While his one eye was broken there were cuts on his face and legs," he said.
"They didn't disclose the whereabouts of my brother even after registering a missing person complaint. The police informed me about my brother's body only after I threatened to go to the media," he claimed.
Meanwhile, state Home Minister Narottam Mishra said following the postmortem report, a case of murder was registered on April 11.
Confirming the first death in the communal violence, Home Minister Narottam Mishra said, “The body of 30-year-old Ibarish Khan alias Saddam was identified at MY Hospital in Indore on Sunday night. The death has been reported eight days later as the body was identified last night. His family had been looking for him after the violence at Ram Navami procession on April 10. A case of murder has been registered against 7-8 unidentified people and further investigation is on.”
On Monday, Narottam Mishra told during the press conference that, “There is complete peace in Khargone and the situation is normal now. The local administration is reviewing the situation at its level and relaxing the curfew. After the violence, legal action has been taken against the rioters. Anyone who wants to go to court can go. On Hanuman Jayanti in Madhya Pradesh, peaceful processions and processions have taken out at 279 places. I congratulate the police administration for the peaceful program on Hanuman Jayanti.”
