Hours ahead of PM Modi’s event, CM Mamata took out a major rally in Kolkata on Saturday to celebrate Netaji’s birth anniversary where she also proposed that Centre should reintroduce the Planning Commission which was abolished by the Modi government.

Targeting the MOdi government, Mamata Banerjee said "Niti Aayog and Planning Commission can co-exist, Centre should reintroduce the panel." She reasoned that the panel was conceptualised by Netaji which the Centre has removed now.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary and said a grateful nation will always remember his sacrifice and dedication for its independence.
