Maharashtra: NCP MP Supriya Sule, Husband Test Positive For Covid-19

Maharashtra Corona News: NCP MP Supriya Sule has been infected with corona. After the report came positive, she appealed that those who have come in contact with her should get tested.

New Delhi: NCP MP Supriya Sule and her husband have tested positive for Coronavirus. Supriya Sule is a Rajya Sabha MP of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

Supriya Sule herself tweeted about her testing positive for Covid-19. In her tweet, she said, "Sadanand and I, both of us have tested positive for COVID - 19. We do not have any symptoms. Requesting everyone who has come in contact with us to get themselves tested. Take Care.” 

In the last few days, there has been a rapid increase in Coronavirus cases across the country.

Talking about the new variant of Coronavirus, i.e. omicron, 781 cases have been reported in the country so far. Out of these, 167 cases have been reported from Maharashtra.

There is a sharp rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in Mumbai. According to the data, the number of Covid-19 infections has doubled in the last 3 days.

Cases of Omicron have also witnessed a sharp rise in the country. So far, 781 cases of Omicron variant have been registered in the country while 241 patients have been cured.

In the last 24 hours, 9,195 new Covid-19 cases have been reported across the country. In the last 24 hours, 302 patients lost their lives due to the dreaded infection.

According to the data of the Union Health Ministry, during the last 24 hours, the number of cured patients has been less than new patients, due to which active cases have increased.

At present, 77,002 people are undergoing treatment for Coronavirus in India. Whereas, the recovery rate is currently 98.40 percent.
