Yogi wants images of teachers pasted on school walls, orders regular inspections
Uttar Pradesh: Taking a stock of deteriorating education standards in primary and Junior high schools in the state, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday ordered the state-run school to monitor the attendance of the teachers in the schools.
The same will be reportedly done by Chief Minister by placing the pictures of the faculty members on the school wall.
This will be done to check and then cross-check from the students whether those whose pictures were displayed attend schools regularly and teach or not.
The meeting was taken by Chief Minister late Sunday during a meeting in Gorakhpur, where the falling standards of education were being discussed.
Adityanath ordered the officials to conduct regular surprise inspections and reviews in the school. CM thereafter ordered that the students be queried on the regularity of their teachers.
He said some teachers in these schools use proxies to teach while they themselves draw hefty salaries without doing any work. This would no longer be tolerated, Adityanath told officials.
