Bengaluru: Ruckus erupted when a woman activist climbed on the stage and disrupted an address being given by India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaddudin Owaisi in a rally against the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the proposed National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Bengaluru on Thursday evening. According to the visuals that is widely being shared on the internet, the woman activist named Amulya Leona grabbed the mike and raised slogans that led to organisers reprimanding her and the police taking her away. As per the visuals shared by the news agency, the woman can be heard saying: "The difference between Pakistan zinadabad and Hindustan zindabad is...". This is when she was taken off stage. However, as she could not conclude what she wanted to say, it is unclear as to whether she meant to raise pro-India or pro-Pakistan slogan or had some other thoughts in her mind. WATCH | Full Clip Of The Video Shared By News Agency ANI Soon after the incident took place, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi denounced her action and asserted that "we are for India". Owaisi said that he did not agree with the woman. "Neither me nor my party has any link with her. We denounce her. The organisers should not have invited her here," the AIMIM MP said. "If I knew this, I would not have come here. We are for India and we no way support our enemy nation Pakistan. Our entire drive is to save India," Owaisi added. JD(S) corporator Imran Pasha claimed she was planted by some rival group to disrupt the event. The woman, he said, was not in the list of speakers and demanded that the police investigate the matter seriously.
