Srinagar: The security forces on Tuesday arrested a journalist identified as Aadil Farooq from Lal Chowk area in Srinagar and recovered two grenades from him, police said.
Farooq, a resident of Khrew Pampore in south Kashmir's Pulwama district, works with a local news agency.
As per reports, the 26-year-old arrested journalist was working for Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

Two hand grenades were recovered during search from the bag of Farooq, who was arrested near Lal Chowk’s Macca Market, PTI reported a police official as saying.
An investigation is underway with the police expecting more arrests.
The interrogation of Farooq, who was arrested earlier in 2019 as well, is presently underway.
The arrest took place minutes after 10 civilians were injured after terrorists hurled a grenade in Hari Singh High street market at Amira Kadal in Srinagar.
The militants, as per earlier inputs, lobbed a grenade on the security forces. The terrorists missed the target and the grenade fell on the roadside where it exploded, injuring at least ten civilians.

So far, no terrorist organisation has claimed responsibility for the incident.
The security forces have cordoned off the area to nab the attackers.
