West Bengal: Man Barks Like Dog In Front Of Govt Official After Surname Is Misspelled As ‘Kutta’
In a 45-second viral video, the man can be seen barking like a dog near the window of local BDO's vehicle while handing him the documents to see.
In a funny yet serious incident that happened in Bankura district of West Bengal, a man was seen barking in front of the government officials after his surname misspelled as ‘Kutta’ instead of ‘Dutta’ in his ration card.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media. In the video, the man is vigorously barking in front of the local block development officer’s (BDO) vehicle while handing him the documents. The man doesn’t utter a single word but barks continuously while trying to show the document to the officer.
The officer, sitting inside the car, takes the document and gives it to another person in the car to look at. The man, in the vide, is wearing a full sleeve shirt and pant.
The man’s name on the ration card is written as Srikanti Kumar Kutta’ instead of the surname ‘Dutta’. The man said that he has thrice tried to get his name corrected in the ration card and was mentally disturbed by this, reported ANI.
Talking to news agency ANI the man said, “I applied for correction of name in ration card thrice. On third time my name was written as Srikanti Kutta instead of Srikanti Dutta. I was mentally disturbed by this.”

“Yesterday I went to apply for correction again & on seeing Joint BDO there, I started acting like a dog in front of him. He didn't respond to my query & ran away. How many times will common people like us leave work & go to apply for correction?” he added.

The video has been widely circulated on social media with people praising the man for his innovative way to protest. The netizens although ciriticised the authorities for not helping him out to such a level that he had to do all this openly.
