West Bengal Elections: Political strategist Prashant Kishor who has been active in handling the Trinamool Congress affairs after being roped in by Mamata Banerjee, has claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party will struggle to cross even a double digit score in the upcoming assembly elections.

Kishor said that he will quit Twitter if his prediction turns out wrong after the results.

“For all the hype AMPLIFIED by a section of supportive media, in reality BJP will struggle to CROSS DOUBLE DIGITS in #WestBengal,” Kishor said in his tweet.

“PS: Please save this tweet and if BJP does any better I must quit this space,” he added.

His tweet comes a day after Union Home Minister Amit Shah claimed a victory for BJP with over 200 seats in the assembly. "We will form the next government in Bengal with more than 200 Assembly seats," Shah had said during his two-day visit to West Bengal, which is being hailed as a massive onslaught by BJP in Mamata’s turf.

Shah had also said the next CM of Bengal will definitely be a son of the soil when the BJP comes to power next year. “The next CM nominee will be a Bengali only," Shah had told media persons in Bolpur.

Shah led a spectacular cavalcade brimming with thousands of supporters on Sunday. He said: "Give one chance to Narendra Modi in the 2021 Assembly elections. We will make 'Sonar Bangla' in 5 years.”

India has to lose a political strategist, says Kailash Vijayvargiya to ABP News:

Rejecting Prashant Kishor's claim of double digit seat for BJP,  senior leader Kailash Vijayvargiya said that PK has to give up his post of political strategist as BJP will sweep the elections.  Targeting Kishor over his poll strategies he said as "Prashant Kishor does it for money, while Bharatiya Janata Party does it for the country." In his detailed interaction with ABP News, Vijayvargiya said that there is no space for arrogance in politics. He said that BJP's politics are for the betterment of the country, while that of PK is for money.

He also reiterated his stand on Twitter without directly naming PK, "After the BJP's tsunami in Bengal, this country will have to lose an election strategist as BJP will be forming government in the state".
