Farmers' Protest: The massive stir by farmers entered its 26th straight day on Monday, yet the protesters continue to camp at the borders of Delhi, braving the cold weather conditions. As any breakthrough eludes their talks with the government, the protesting farmers have decided to intensify their agitation against the three farms laws passed by the Centre.

The three farm laws have been projected by the central government as major reforms in the agriculture sector that will remove the middlemen and allow farmers to sell anywhere in the country, in turn benefitting the farmers. However, the protesting farmers remain adamant on their demand of a complete rollback of the three laws. They have expressed apprehension that the new laws would pave the way for eliminating the safety cushion of Minimum Support Price.
