Weather forecast: Cold weather conditions continue to prevail in Delhi-NCR on Sunday.

Weather forecast: Cold weather conditions continue to prevail in the national capital and region around it on Sunday. Delhi continued to battle chilly nights and toxic air with the minimum temperature dropping to 5.6 degrees Celsius, and air quality hitting the "very poor" zone. Meanwhile, Karnal in Haryana records 0 degrees Celsius today. Gurugram records 1.4 degrees Celsius, Hisar records 2.7 Degrees Celsius and Rohtak records 3.8 degrees Celsius. Besides, Delhi also witnessed dense fog on Sunday morning. The occurrence of severe to heavy fog conditions triggers 'Low Visibility Procedures' (LVP) at the airport, and other areas of the city. The visibility dropped to as low as 800 metre. As per weather agency , the increase in winter chill can be attributed to the fact that there has been no significant changes in the weather pattern across northwestern plains of the country in the past 24 hours. In the wake of this, light and cold northwesterly winds are prevailing over Punjab, Haryana and Delhi region, leading to cold wave conditions in some areas.
