WATCH VIDEO: Maha Congress leader announces Rs 5 lakh bounty on BJP MLA Ram Kadam's tongue
Speaking on MLA’s statement, Savji said “I am announcing a Rs 5 lakh reward for anyone who chops off BJP MLA Ram Kadam’s tongue. I strongly condemn him saying girls should be abducted”.
Maharashtra: In a shocking statement former Maharashtra minister and Congress leader Subodh Savji announced Rs 5 lakh bounty on BJP MLA Ram Kadam’s tongue.
The statement comes after BJP leader’s statement on girls, at Dahi Handi event in his Assembly constituency Monday night, where the BJP MLA told youngsters that they can tell him if they like a girl and he will "kidnap" her for them even if she rejects their proposal.
Speaking on MLA’s statement, Savji said “I am announcing a Rs 5 lakh reward for anyone who chops off BJP MLA Ram Kadam’s tongue. I strongly condemn him saying girls should be abducted”.
After facing a lot of criticism over his remarks, the minister later apologised saying that his political rivals "doctored" the remarks.
Continuing its attack on BJP MLA Ram Kadam over his "will kidnap the girl a boy likes" remark, the Opposition in Maharashtra Thursday called for his dismissal as a lawmaker, saying his apology would not suffice.
The Leader of Opposition in the Assembly and Congress leader Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil also questioned Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's "silence" over the issue.
NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik said his party would continue to protest in front of the police station in suburban Ghatkopar, Kadam's constituency, till an FIR is registered against him.#WATCH: Former Maharashtra minister and Congress leader Subodh Savji says ‘I am announcing a Rs 5-lakh reward for anyone who chops off BJP MLA Ram Kadam’s tongue.
