WATCH VIDEO: At toll booth in Kanpur, monkey allegedly arrives in car to steal Rs 5000

NEW DELHI: In an amusing video, which is now trending on social media sites, a monkey is seen stealing money from inside a toll booth. It is reported that the incident took place in India’s Kanpur in April where the act of the monkey was caught on CCTV cameras installed inside the facility of the toll booth.
In the video, the relaxed toll booth worker is seen sitting inside his cabin with the windows rolled down. The cash register which is on the table can also be seen was kept open.
A car slows down near a toll booth window, instead of a man, a monkey is seen emerging out. The monkey then moves towards the cash register and steals a bundle of notes.
As per media reports, the monkey stole around Rs. 5,000 from the cash register. It is reported that the monkey was trained to carry out such robbery.
To News 18, Manoj Sharma, AGM of Bara toll plaza said that a white car stopped at the toll booth and a monkey came out of the car’s window and went inside the toll booth. It conveniently took away a note bundle from the cash register, amounting to Rs 5,000 and fled the scene.
News 18 also reported that two similar incidents were reported in the past where a monkey fled away with the cash. AGM of Bara toll plaza also said "We have lodged a formal complaint with the police regarding the incident”.
