WATCH: 'Himveers' Of ITBP Wish India On Republic Day From Snow-Covered Indo-China Border

ITBP Force jawans extended wishes to the countrymen on India's 75th Republic Day.

The 'Himveers' of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Force posted at LAC l at the Indo-China Border extended greetings to the nation on the occasion of India's 75th Republic Day. 

The video showed a group of ITBP jawans standing on a snow-covered mountain with the Indian flag in hand as they extended the Republic Day wishes from ITBP to the citizens of India and shouted "Bharat Mata Ki Jai."

In another video shared by ITBP on its X handle, the jawans were seen standing behind a signage which read 'I LOVE INDIA' as they shouted the slogan "Bharat Mata Ki Jai."

Another video showed the jawans walking on snow-covered mountains as it continued to snow on the morning of Republic day.

A post to congratulate all the officers who were awarded President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and the Police Medal for Meritorious Service was also shared by ITBP.

ITBP is a specialised armed force of India which guards the 3,448 km Indo-China borders ranging from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh. The Himveers are posted at Border Out Posts (BOP) located at altitudes ranging from 9,000- 18,000 ft. Temperatures at these BOPs drop to as low as minus 45 degrees Celsius in extreme winters. 

ITBP jawans have a glorious history of six decades and have sacrificed their lives for the nation in the line of duty.
